A policeman that died in the convoy accident that involved the convoy of former National Chairman of the APC, Adams Oshiomhole has been identified as Akoms Ability.

A friend took to social media to mourn the deceased policeman describing the death as very painful and unexpected.

Fake soldier shot dead during robbery operation in Ogun

A fake soldier has been shot dead by men of the Ogun State Police Command, during a robbery operation.

Police said the fake soldier, who was described as an armed robbery suspect, was killed in the early hours of Friday, as he and his team engaged the police in a gun duel along Sagamu/Benin highway.

Three burnt to death in Lagos -Ibadan expressway auto crash

Three persons were on Friday burnt to death in an accident involving a pick-up van around Danco filling station on the Lagos – Ibadan Expressway.

Mr. Ahmed Umar, Sector Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Ogun confirmed the incident to journalists in Abeokuta.

According to Umar, the crash occurred around 4:37pm and was caused by excessive speeding and loss of control by the pickup van driver.

He said that the pickup van with no registration number was on top speed, when it lost control, hit a truck in its front and immediately burst into flame.

The sector commander explained that five persons, all males were involved in the accident, with one person sustaining injuries and three others burnt to death. 

Coronavirus: Buhari govt receives Russia’s COVID-19 vaccines

The Nigerian government on Friday said it has received samples of Russia’s COVID-19 vaccine.

Minister of Health, Osagie Ehanire received the samples from the Russia Ambassador to Nigeria, Alexey Shebarshin, during a visit to the ministry in Abuja, on Friday.

The ministry’s Director of Information, Media, and Public Relations, Olujimi Oyetomi disclosed this in a statement.
